from the mind of critic-3/13/19

From the mind of critic:                    “If living day to day is scary because we don’t can’t, or aren’t planning for the future, but is also more authentic because we’re paying more attention to what really matters, how do we ease our mind? How do we figure out what we’re supposed to do, and where we’re supposed to go, along with how its going to get pulled off and why? When is going to be our time, when are we going to reach our full potential? The answer to all of these, is doing what we can. We realize what advantages we have, the knowledge, critical thought, and perceptions that got us here. And now that we are here, to be in the here and now, we have to stay in the here and now. We can do that by inhaling the worlds beauty, listening to some good music, or taking a walk or a drive. Anything that feeds our soul will not only get us through the day, but will make the day more vibrant. Once our soul is vibrating on a joyful level, to keep it vibrating we must spread the joy, then rinse and repeat. That way when we get down on ourselves again for living day to day, we can easily return to living within our heart and soul. Our turnaround time shortens when we know what’s really important, and what never fails to build us up. All that matters is feeling love and spreading love, while feeling gratitude for the opportunity, that’s it.” 😊

from the mind of critic-3/12/19

From the mind of critic:              “If using unfair, inaccurate, stereotypical and racist tropes to define a problem and why it’s happening, is wrong and inhuman, how come we use them without even thinking twice? How come it seems perfectly okay to mention that George Soros is personally, and forcefully bringing in immigrants, (i.e. Brown and black people) to steal jobs, culture and the very way of life, from upstanding Christian white people? How come there is no pushback on this oldest of racist tropes against Jews, that a very powerful one controls all the media and the government, and is bringing in people to destroy everything, specifically to be recreated in his own Jewish image? How come Soros’s name is bandied about like it’s a perfectly fine metaphor, like oh that’s just something conservatives say? After multiple shootings, attempted shootings, bombings and attempted bombings, from people who mentioned over and over to friends, family, social media and whoever else would listen, that Soros was trying to destroy the country and had to be stopped, how come we still allow this kind of speech? Some might say I’m being over sensitive, that black people have suffered much worse and still do, so to them this is nothing new. I’m not here to say one struggle is more important than the other, the current racist government residing in DC, wants us to divide and blame each other; which is one of the root causes of racism in the first place. The power structure wants us little people to fight over what crumbs they’re willing to dole out. If we ever figured it out it was all bullshit, because we’re controlled by those whose power grows the more we fight, we would would take back the power, because we’d be united in the fact we were being fucked over by the same illusion. We must stamp out all racist tropes, an assault on one of us, is an assault on all of us. How 4 million people could control 320 million people, we’ll never know, or will we? George Soros is Jewish, any public assault of him always takes that into account. Things have always been this way, is a reason to never do anything.” 😊

From the mind of critic:            “When we start moving forward again after a setback, do we go full speed ahead? Do we strap in, mash the gas and hold on? Do we think about safety measures, carefully touch the accelerator, before thoughtfully crawling forward? Do we remember what stopped our progress in the first place, and think about how to prevent it from happening again? If it can’t be prevented, or ever stopped no matter what precautions we take, and what preparations we make, do we freak out, throw our hands up, and walk away from everything we thought would help us move forward, because we don’t believe in ourselves? Do we ponder, put our hands to our chin, then walk forward because we do believe in ourselves? Are we worthy, or not? We are the only ones who can answer that question. We all fail, and we all have setbacks. Its not about controlling them or even preventing them, although in some cases we can. Its about how we react, and how we tactfully strategize how to make another attempt, while learning from didn’t work the last time. We are the people we have been looking for, when we realize we need ourselves the most. We can’t control everything, but we can control some things. Progress can be like a roller coaster, but as long as we stay strapped in, we won’t fly off the tracks. Finding the Goldilocks zone of forward progress, starts with loving ourselves, and going from there.” 😊

From the mind of critic:                    “If the battle between light and dark which our soul endures from the time we wake until the time we sleep is too much for us to bare, do we lose hope? Is this inner battle so exhausting, we start wondering if we actually will come out better on the other side, or is it just something we tell ourselves to lift energy, when its nonexistent? Do we want light to win, and continue to win so we continue striving and achieving, but wonder if darkness will overpower everything in our hearts, because the darkness seems to be based on what’s currently in front of us and infecting our situation, and the light seems to be based only on what we can’t feel, or cant see now or in the future? Have we only convinced ourselves we feel this way, because we forgot that pain whether physical or emotional, is all temporary? Letting the darkness swallow us up, or letting the light surround us is something we eternally debate on a daily basis, whether we know it or not. What keeps us going is not finding the balance between light and dark, but how we can grow or lessen it depending on our current perceptions. We might find ourselves in a situation which seems hopeless, and seems that not only is light not at the end of the tunnel, but there is nary a sliver of light anywhere. Once we realize this tunnel concept is 100% a product of our own mind, we’ll see breaking the cycle we’ve ingrained of sad, hopeless, giddy and back to sad again, is done simply by telling our minds light is way more powerful than dark, and everything will turn out alright. Sometimes opposite day, is actually how things ought to be. Loving ourselves, begins with believing we’re worthy. Outlasting the darkness, involves ingraining the light. Positive attitudes and gratitude isn’t just for hippies, it’ll literally save all of our lives. Inner battles are unavoidable, but we can shorten their duration, by remembering the beauty of the world, and what’s really important.” 😊

From the mind of critic:               “If we’re thankful for what we have while we have it, because we’re trying to not take anything for granted, are we thankful for what we had after its gone, because we recognize the importance of the lessons each moment teaches us? And what is it that each moment teaches us, and what are we implored to pay such close attention to? We don’t know before hand and never will, that’s the exact reason we need to pay attention, and feel gratitude for everything that is. Love, gratitude, humanity, accountability and truth will help us through any jam, because the lack of them caused the jam in the first place.” 😊

from the mind of critic-3/8/19

From the mind of critic:                  “If tomorrow is only a day away, happiness and love are just over the rainbow, and a new day is always on the horizon, is it because all we can affect is this moment right now? If those good moments are always right around the corner, waiting for us to reach them, does it make us sad they aren’t today, getting further away the more we strive toward them? Do we keep telling ourselves we’ll reach those unreachable spots, so we feel better now with less work required? If we feel down today, we should do the work now, so we don’t sell ourselves false prophesies of our own making. Today is always better than tomorrow, because its not something we’re putting off because its just over the rainbow. Maybe it’s within the leprechaun’s pot of gold, maybe if we find that we’ll be happy. Selling ourselves short, by letting our happiness depend on some unattainable goal, is how we got ourselves into this ego-filled, procrastination cycle, of a dog trying to catch its tail. Which is why now, right now, not in an hour, not tomorrow, not next week, month or year, we must create the conditions to bring our dreams to us now, making the haven on earth we all dream of. If we do this right now, we’ll know the reason we keep putting things off, is because we’re treating each other with respect, love, caring, tolerance and admiration at a later date, because the peace and justice which followed only happens on the horizon like we’ve been told. Once we know the reasons for our procrastination, we can start instituting the reasons for our inclusive creation. Loving each other now, prevents us from hating each other later. Creating and nurturing conscious evolution now, prevents cataclysmic destruction later. We stop the conscious evolution of all humanity from being on the horizon and just over the rainbow, by living it now. Everything good, starts with us being good to ourselves. The power of now is more than instant gratification, its love for humanity by association.” 😊

from the mind of critic-3/7/19

From the mind of critic:                “Is acceptance the final stage of grief, because once we’re willing to accept, we’re not actually in grief anymore? Should the step right before acceptance be the final stage, because we’re still amidst the chaos of not knowing? If we’re accepting of whatever may be going on, are we not amidst grief, but something different? Maybe acceptance should be the first stage of something new, because once we accept, it inherently changes whatever we were going through, due to our perception changing. Is the way we perceive people, things and places the only thing that really matters, not all the labels we formulate which allow us to not have to deal with what’s in front of our face? When we’re going through a challenging time, we all want it to end as soon as possible. We want to jump right to the end, so we don’t have to deal with all the bullshit. Now this is where perception comes in, because what somebody thinks are stupid roadblocks they shouldn’t have to deal with, others view as the work they must put in, so when they get where they want to go, they know they’ve earned acceptance of a new situation. Now some might ask, why can’t we just jump right to the acceptance, if we know what our situation is, and are ready to move forward with it? I’d answer, if we’re even asking the question, we already have. Moving forward in our own skin, is the only thing that really matters. Life can get us down, but not half as much as regret. Viewing our situation differently, simply means injecting in as much gratitude as possible. A perceived bad situation turns around, when we take our power back. Labels, steps and stages are simply a means to an end, but what end that is, depends on our beginning. Loving ourselves, means doing what we can, how we can, while we can.” 😊

from the mind of critic-3/6/19

From the mind of critic:        “When the words reasonable and necessary become the difference between life and death, do semantics miss the point? Are we worrying more about describing something, than what actually happened? Are courts the same? If reasonable doubt is the determining factor between guilty and not guilty, who is the judge of what’s reasonable? If what’s reasonable to us might not be reasonable to somebody else, is that a reason for life in prison? Is that a reason for a death sentence that’s court ordered, or one that stems from a spilt second decision? How many more people have to die, before we realize that prejudging somebody can not only lead innocent families to deal with never ending personal hells, but also for racist tendencies to become more ingrained over time, when after the fact its found that what gave a reasonable or necessary suspicion, was completely opposite of what we thought and what spurred our action, but we continue to reply we had a reasonable suspicion so we had to act? What about racists who said, well we had a reasonable suspicion that this black man raped our white women, so we had to hang, burn and mutilate him, because even if he didn’t do it, many others “like him” do? Police officers do have one of the toughest jobs, having to protect the population when people straight hate them. However, just because we’ve made great strides in race relations, doesn’t mean we don’t still have a long way to go. And just because we’ve made those great strides, doesn’t mean we still don’t have to dispel all hateful stereotypes of how we think certain groups act. That’s not to say white guys haven’t been unjustly shot by the police, because they have. But we must ask ourselves if Stephon Clark was white, would we have acted differently. If the answer is yes, we’ve answered exactly how far we still have to go. Human life, is worth more than the words “reasonable suspicion. Admission of our faults, allows us to get past them. If after a shooting, the purported gun which caused the shooting to occur is found to not be a gun, we can’t say we would’ve acted the same with a white guy, because hypocrisy would illuminate the value we place on human life. Unity means getting rid of bad seeds, not simply seeds that sprout plants we don’t know.” 😊

from the mind of critic-3/5/19

From the mind of critic:             “If we know neither path in front of us is bad, just different, does our stress level rise when we get stuck at a fork of them, unable to walk forward on either, due to forces beyond our control? Do we begin questioning everybody and everything we know, undermining their stability, simply because we can’t find any ourselves? Do we start wishing for an answer, any answer, even if it’s the one we don’t want to hear, so we can deal with it and move on? Do we realize how powerful our words can be, when we truly put their alliteration into the universe? Do we truly mean what we say when we exude the desire to have our path laid out before us, and have whatever roadblocks exist vaporize, so we can continue moving forward like our soul yearns for? Understanding how powerful our words are, will ebb and flow depending on the situation we insert them into. However, sometimes their importance can be overshadowed, by the chiseled in self-sabotage we undoubtedly force ourselves into, when things don’t go our way. Once we realize the power of our words can drive us in a direction we may not have chosen, we’ll see not only will we be more exact in our requests to the universe, but what we thought wasn’t a path we would choose, can have its advantages when looked at with the “for our highest good” perspective, something our better angels have tried to instill within us since the beginning. If we’ve been requesting the chance to move forward, we better be ready when that chance arrives. Choice is tricky, because we have to choose. Being held back isn’t fun, but neither is walking around aimlessly. Our situation greatly improves, when we let our heart and soul take the wheel.” 😊

From the mind of critic:               “If we have a chance to move forward instead of backward, wouldn’t we take it? If we saw our progress regressing back where we were before, wouldn’t we do whatever we could to return to normal? Is changing our normal the name of the game? How do we keep moving the sticks, so we keep marching down the field? We put one step in front of the other, and do what we can, how we can we can when we can. Pain sucks whether physical or emotional, we should always try to prevent it, as long as it sends us toward positive and conscious evolution. Love, real love and everything it truly means, really is all we need.” ?
