“From The Mind Of Critic: 2019”
This is the fifth of many collections “From the Mind Of Critic.” The short essays can be flipped through randomly, or read in succession. They run the gamut of human emotions from love, to hate, to fear. Along with a healthy dose of politics, humanism, unity, accountability and truth, this collection will hopefully stir the pot just enough to start conversations. For if we simply talk to each other like human beings, we’d find that many of our generational issues can be solved. Emotions soften when fog lifts, making us realize we agree on a lot more than we disagree. We just need to get out of our own way, and remember, everything we need to know we learned in kindergarten.
Excerpts From MOC: 2019
“The gray area we all live in is constantly evolving. If we adapt instead of resist, we’ll evolve alongside”
“Letting go of outcomes is like venturing into the darkness, it’s only scary if we don’t allow our soul to light the way. Hope and love get us started, conscious action moves us forward.”
“This isn’t rocket science. It isn’t a sport that only the best athletes in the world can play, this is life. The kinder, more loving, more understanding, and more gracious we are on a dally basis, the more life will show us what we need to see, and lessons we need to learn. Our true selves aren’t something to be sought, they’re something to be realized, then utilized. We all can. We all have the power. Do we love ourselves enough, to use it? Love is the key, we just have to turn it, and step on the gas.”
“If the goal is to simply take power from the other guy, instead of empowering us all, then the founders were right; the constitution will end in despotism, because we the people will be unable to be governed by anything else. We have the power to overcome evil, but we must first kill it within ourselves.”
