from the mind of critic-3/10/19

From the mind of critic:                    “If the battle between light and dark which our soul endures from the time we wake until the time we sleep is too much for us to bare, do we lose hope? Is this inner battle so exhausting, we start wondering if we actually will come out better on the other side, or is it just something we tell ourselves to lift energy, when its nonexistent? Do we want light to win, and continue to win so we continue striving and achieving, but wonder if darkness will overpower everything in our hearts, because the darkness seems to be based on what’s currently in front of us and infecting our situation, and the light seems to be based only on what we can’t feel, or cant see now or in the future? Have we only convinced ourselves we feel this way, because we forgot that pain whether physical or emotional, is all temporary? Letting the darkness swallow us up, or letting the light surround us is something we eternally debate on a daily basis, whether we know it or not. What keeps us going is not finding the balance between light and dark, but how we can grow or lessen it depending on our current perceptions. We might find ourselves in a situation which seems hopeless, and seems that not only is light not at the end of the tunnel, but there is nary a sliver of light anywhere. Once we realize this tunnel concept is 100% a product of our own mind, we’ll see breaking the cycle we’ve ingrained of sad, hopeless, giddy and back to sad again, is done simply by telling our minds light is way more powerful than dark, and everything will turn out alright. Sometimes opposite day, is actually how things ought to be. Loving ourselves, begins with believing we’re worthy. Outlasting the darkness, involves ingraining the light. Positive attitudes and gratitude isn’t just for hippies, it’ll literally save all of our lives. Inner battles are unavoidable, but we can shorten their duration, by remembering the beauty of the world, and what’s really important.” 😊
