From the mind of critic:            “If the answer to the proposition, “why be normal”, is “it ain’t any fun”, is being normal guaranteed to not be any fun? Do we forgo chances and struggles, so as to not upset the cozy rut we’ve concocted? Do we believe fun is for the weak, which means we must be the strongest human in the world, because we avoid fun by any means necessary? Do we know positively, the black and white, 100% completely objective definition of fun or normal? Do we believe we know “THE” answer, and all others are just pretending? Do others believe they know what time it is, specifically because we don’t? Definitions constantly fly around, for concepts considered hard to describe. It’s our job to decipher meaning, while realizing meaning can adapt, mutate and evolve along our journey; just as it can for all other journeys as well. We should all take time to have what we define as fun, it not only lightens our soul, but reminds us what’s important; which one of those important items is how all other humans are simultaneously doing the same. If we could spend more time understanding and applying that, instead of beating each other up for our so called “differences”, we could finally unite around our shared humanity, specifically because we finally understand it is shared. Why be “normal”, no the question is, why be “not normal?” That’s where all the fun and authenticity lay anyway, right?”

From the mind of critic:             “If the monster has awoken, should we put it back to sleep, kill it, or feed it so it becomes stronger? The answer lies within whether we want to create, or destroy, and if we think the monster is set to destroy the physical landscape, or just destroy and old way of thinking. Our perceptions not only create our present reality, but lays the foundation for our future reality. Love, kindness and gratitude are the key in our collective unification.”

From the mind of critic:               “If we know we’re doing the right thing because we know we’re in the right, then is it easier to beat back challenges than if we waiver? Does our act of hesitancy no matter how miniscule, give the darkness just the opening it was looking for, so it can enhance its brainwashing techniques? Does having doubts, cause us to pause when moving forward? Does having no doubts, cause us to mash the gas when moving forward, not realizing we may be moving in the wrong direction? Doubting ourselves all the time, and questioning every nook and cranny of our motivations, can cause us to pause or halt action for fear it may not be perfect, and may not have the desired effect, because we believe everything has to be perfect to actually work. Never doubting ourselves, and never questioning any part of our motivations, can cause us to move so quickly, we forget about variables meant to impede our progress, or ignore by believing they can be steamrolled, when really they are meant to block us, and steal our attention so we don’t see the correct path. Balance once again seems to be the answer, questioning and analyzing some, so we know the best way forward, but not so much we use it as an excuse for inaction. Doing the right thing, is always right. However, unless we balance analyzation with action, we’ll never know what the right thing is.”

From the mind of critic:         “If we’re not scared of the fight ahead, to attain what we know we need and deserve, if we’re not afraid of being told no, because our stamina tells us we’re in the right, if we’re not scared of living differently, if we’re not scared of what people will say, if we’re not scared of ourselves, let alone others, what in the hell are we actually scared of? We know this fear is inside of us, we can feel it building by the day. However, we search everywhere and everything, but not a clue about our fear. We get glimpses, but nothing concrete. Isn’t that the point though, if we can’t find it, define it or even really describe it, we must ask if it actually exists, or if it’s a figment of our over or underactive imagination. We may never know the answers to the questions we ask, but we might. We’ll never know what’s real, if we don’t admit what’s fake. Fear isn’t real, it simply portrays an illusion. Knowing who we are and what we stand for, allows us to obliterate any darkness.”

From the mind of critic:            “If we have nothing to fear but fear itself, then is the feeling fake? Does the trepidating fear of an upcoming event, cause an overt physical reaction beforehand, but after causes another physical reaction, the best definition of which could be best described as the opposite of fear? Does this thought of what could be, become clouded by self sabotage, and unclouded by critical thought? Does our perception guide what we get scared and worried about, while simultaneously guiding what we get excited and happy about? Do we ever think first and ask questions later, or do we not think at all while keeping silent? We as human beings can easily allow our brains to get overly emotional, if we never think about what’s happening, or why we feel a certain way. Truth is, even if we are able to think about why a certain thought or action occurrs, it doesn’t mean it’s a guarantee, or that it won’t turn out differently, specifically because we aren’t letting things just happen. Finding the balance between holding onto why, and letting go of outcomes is very difficult. Once we realize nothing in life is guaranteed no matter how scared or how loving, we’ll see life as a fluid being, whose thoughts and actions can steer it one way or another; the organized chaos of which ensures we’re always on our toes. Fear is but an emotion, guided by our perceptions of ourselves. Being scared is normal, letting fear stop us from our dreams, isn’t. Loving ourselves so we can love others doesn’t delete fear, but makes it much more manageable. Are we scared to feel love, or has a lack of giving love, dried up the tap headed in our direction?”

From the mind of critic:        “If the aspiration of world citizenship, is basically another way of saying we should be the best humans we can be, why would we want to be better humans, why would we even care? Do we want to be joyful, fulfilled, authentic, a good steward of the planet, love others, be loved, treated with respect, tolerance, caring, humanity, accountability and truth? If the answer is yes, we’ve answered our own question.”

From the mind of critic:           “If there is no justice no peace, can there be peace without justice? Can peace be found when laws are skewed to benefit a slim minority, specifically so they can control the vast majority? Can we trust peace to not be fleeting and/or based on ignorance, when others are free but we aren’t? Is peace subjective? Can human beings live perfectly joyful and fulling lives, where they uplift humanity and serve their purpose, if their neighbors are scared and miserable from persecution, bigotry, and foot after foot on the back of their necks? The answer is, what the fuck do you think? Ignorance is only bliss, to the man behind the curtain.”

From the mind of critic:              “Is there a way to love ourselves, without loving ourselves too much? Is there a way to make our soul feel loved and fulfilled, without forgetting about everybody else? Do we feel grateful for whatever we have while we have it, and not be upset later after we lost it, or do we simply see what our neighbor has, and allow jealousy to build? Do we have the ability to remind our brain what’s really important, when chaos attempts to flip a switch? We have that ability, and way more once we get out of our own way by remembering priorities, being grateful for what we have, not being upset about what we don’t, and feed our humility by loving our neighbors, specifically because we love ourselves. That brings us back to HOW we love ourselves. We look in the mirror and close our eyes, then we ask our soul what would make it smile. Inner work is the key to it all, it’s hard, but extremely fulfilling. We are worth it, we are loved, we do matter. We start loving ourselves when we’re kind to ourselves, which evolves into outer kindness, which is the grease that makes the wheel turn. Let’s make love our foundation, because the house built on top, is the authenticity we’ve been looking for. Togetherness is better than apartness, like love is better than hate; especially when directed at ourselves. We can’t love others, if we don’t love that person staring back at us in the mirror. So lets love that person, we literally have nothing to lose.”

From the mind of critic:           “If we can’t see the forest for the trees, do we see the trees as singular and not connected to each other? If we can’t see the bigger picture because of all the little stuff, do we forget the bigger picture? Do we fail to see the interconnection, and then wonder why all the little things we do and experience on a daily basis seem so insignificant? Finding balance, discovering and living interconnection, feeling love, spreading joy; these are the secrets to life. They’re the same for all of us, even though their definitions vary widely; which again brings us back to interconnectedness. The more conscious we are, the more meaningful life becomes, the more fulfilled our soul is. Isn’t that our collective dream, same at its root, but different practice. See, we really are more alike than we think.”

From the mind of critic:                 “During the inevitable destruction taking place within us every time we grow and evolve, does fear ever persuade us to resist change? Does love ever persuade us to welcome it? Does indecision cause us to ignore and cede control? Being human does come with the frailty of needing to experience trial and error. Being mindful however, helps our chances of success by starving self sabotage and feeding gratitude. True life is messy and gross, but true life is also amazingly beautiful. Perceptions gauge this balance, our soul tips the scales. We prevent inner battles from becoming outer battles, when we love ourselves.”
