From the mind of critic: “If all humans want and need real connection, how come so many of our actions disconnect us? Is it because talking is a lot easier than doing? Do we take part in newer and newer depersonalizing acts because everyone else is, which in some weird way makes us feel connected, even though it’s doing the exact opposite? Are we just lazy, and want human interaction, but expect it to fall into our laps, because we want to pull in good stuff, without putting anything good back out? As the world gets more personal, the more it gets impersonal. The more we get connected through social media, 24 hours news, amazon, credit, home delivered food and groceries and economics, the more we get disconnected from each other for the same reason. Like the balance of life and humanity, we have free will and are not governed by what technology and society tell us, but how we infuse our humanity into ever changing technology and society. Once we realize that treating ourselves special, taking care of ourselves and being a good person aren’t just for people with extra time on their hands but all of us on a daily basis, we’ll see that our humanity is inherent, but will be constantly put to the test as the world evolves. Once our actions spring from what we actually want not what society and technology tell us, we will finally walk the walk we constantly talk about.” 🙂

From the mind of critic: “If the greatest things in life are free, are they also the hardest things in life to find, because we can’t run down to the corner store and buy them? Does not having monetary value make somehting more elusive, because it shifts and changes it’s form and location, depending on the person looking for it? If hard work doesn’t guarantee success, will we be okay with possibly never finding what we’re looking for, no matter how much blood, sweat and tears we put in? Constantly pursuing success in career and love for our soul, can bring discouragement and lonliness if we never see clues that brighter days are ahead. Is there a way to stay motivated, so one day we acheive the success that drives our passion, and the love that makes our soul sing? If I knew the answer to that one, I woulnd’t presently feel the way I do. What keeps me going is the knowledge that I still want love and success, and the only way I’ll find it since I haven’t yet, is to stay open to it for that day when it shows up on my doorstep. How do I stay open? I keep putting myself out there, until something does come along. What else am I going to do, sit on my ass and give up? That would be like saying I don’t deserve it, and I definitely do. I will never give up, I will never slow down. I just hope that one day it lead me to the love and success my soul yearns for. The greatest things in life are free, but not from effort.”

From the mind of critic: “If deflection is our only defense when an accuser comes forward, is guilt imbedded in our brains? Do we believe pointing out others’ wrongs, will take all attention and significance away from ours? Are the rest of us strong enough to point out that deflection only happens, because the guilty party knows their guilty, but believes themselves to be less guily than their accuser? In this severely divided time, some of us are willing to look past obvious crimes in our sides’ politician, because of fear of the other side taking over. This is when we must look in the mirror and ask, if what we’re overlooking in “our guy” happened to “the other guy”, would we ignore it? If the answer is no, then we can’t complain that politics are broken, because we’re the ones weilding the sledgehammer. Deflection is the last resort of a guilty party. Accountability and humanism is how we climb out of the darkness and into the light.” 🙂

From the mind of critic: “If the art of the deal was one man’s blueprint for always ending up on top, did the public know it was step by step instructions to erase humanity, by squashing anybody who got in the way of personal gain? As popularity grew, did readers realize making themselves the center of the universe instead of their universe, was only possible if they forsook all other humans? Do some of us wish it was the old west or anarchy, while not realizing their practical applications? Ignorance decribes an unwillingness to learn or witness what happens outside of one’s bubble. If we want people to stop wheeling and dealing us, then we have to stop wheeling and dealing them. While Trump’s diary of a con man might have struck a chord during the screw everybody but me Reagan 80s, it’s that chord that is currently making the beauty of humanity way out of tune. Whether we’re dealing or compromising, it’s our intent and positive collective action that follows which propels us forward. Our species can redirected onto the right course, once we compromise not ourselves, but our misconceptions.” 🙂

From the mind of critic: “If the calm before the storm is a quiet moment before things get really bad, then how will we ever be comfortable with peace, if we’re always expecting impending doom? If we’re not comfortable with chaos, but are familiar with it, do we question the validity of human gestures? If we always expect the worst, are we even prepared for something good to come along? Being scared is normal, and so is worrying about being let down. What isn’t normal, is believing the act of being let down will always happen, because the power to acheive joy and success is out of our control, so by washing our hands of any personal effort, we’re giving ourselves extreemly short and fleeting bits of happiness, because we think we know what’s coming. Once we realize that what we expect is usually what happens in form or another, we’ll see that if we always expect the worst, the worst will always show up, specifically because we didn’t make one speck of room for something good. Having a calm before the storm doesn’t always mean a storm is around the corner, it could mean a new and brighter day is upon us, if we allow ourselves to view the light.” 🙂

From the mind of critic: “In the parking lot of life, is there a spot for all of us? Do some of us need truck and trailer parking, while others only need only compact? If there are only a finite number of spots in the lot, are we a defensive enough parker to find a spot outside the designated lot? All of want to find our spot, a place where we belong. Some of us forget our critical thinking when an easy solution doesn’t present itself. While ohers rely on this critical thinking, using our creativity and knowledge of our inner self to find the niche that drives us. Once we realize that life may not always hand us easy solutions, but the more we pay attention to the messages of our inner soul and the world around us, we’ll see that we can find our passion when we stay open to opportunities we didn’t expect, and joyful events, people and activities we may have forgotten, Finding a marked spot can make us happy, creating our own spot can bring us inner joy.” 🙂

From the mind of critic: “When spelling out the problems with institutional racism, antisemitism, racial incidents, persecution and all around degradation of “the other”, do vague descriptions of the issues instead of detailed accounts, help us get past self imposed roadblocks? Do we let the fear residue from past incidents, color our perspective? When several interactions with somebody from a different race, culture, religion or sexual oprientation turns out bad, violent or worse, do we then believe “they” are all like that? If racists are ignorant enough to believe a certain group is monolithic, does that group targeted by the racists then believe that whatever ethnic group the racists belong to, believes monolithically as well? If we know beating back ignorance involves humanization, how come we spew dehumanization to dispell the ignorance of racists? We all know this is a sticky issue, one we all know about, but might be scared to get involved in. Once we realize racism appears when humanism appears, we’ll see that vague descriptions and blanket statements is what feeds ignorance on all sides. The world is dark, but the world is also light. We get past generational difficulties, when we voice specifics, not platitudes.” 🙂

From the mind of critic: “If labels help us make sense out of a chaotic world, but also inhibit our personal evolution by making us less human to each other, where is the middle ground? Is there a way to label something to better understanding, as opposed to deepening ignorance? Are labels ever objective? The act of labeling like life, is dependant on the persons intent. If somebody wants to insult, persecute, belittle and dehumanize somebody else, they can label them, so they know what to avoid, and what to claim vast knowledge on, even though actual knowledge of the person or their background is nil. However, if somebody wants to admire, support, build up and love somebody else, they can also label them, in the act of trying to put words to the vast power of their awesomeness. Once we realize that the road to hell is only paved with good intentions, when actions aren’t a blip on the radar, we’ll see it’s actions and words working together that make a complete human being , not either or. Whatever path we take to get to better understanding is a good thing. However, if our intent is good, but our actions lead us away from better understanding, we must take an honest look in the mirror.” 🙂

From the mind of critic: :If conspiracy theories spawn from a chaotic world, do they dissappear in a peacful world? Do we stop thinking about all the ways the world can get us, when we see black and white benefits? Is the key to handling it all, not to let somebody do all the thinking for us and tell us what to do, but for us to think for ourselves? Sometimes we have to think hard to make sense of the world. Sometimes we think to much, and sometimes we don’t think at all. Finding the balance includes taking a case by case approach, and not trying to apply or expect a one size fits all answer. There is a lot of corruption and criminality underway, and they aren’t theories, but hard facts. When we stop taking the easy way out and stop looking for the easy answer, authenticity will appear, and our path forward will light up. Translating chaos, breeds more chaos. Translating truth, breeds more truth” 🙂

From the mind of critic: “If a celebrity we’ve always admired and respected turns out to be amonster, after the accuser finnaly comes out to tell their story, not because all the people the accuser told spoke up, what do we do? If actors and movies on our list of favorites define not who we are, but what we use as comparison for other pieces of art, but are proven to be the aboritions of a child raper, what do we do? Does power and money always corrupt, or is it a case by case basis? The way some people felt about Bill Cosby when his allegations surfaced, was the same way I felt about Kevin Spacey, what the fuck man, seriously? Usual Suspects, American Beauty, House of Cards and many other tv shows and movies, I cant bring myself to watch anymore. This may sound like a first world problem, to watch an idol fall from grace, ofcourse not nearly as big a problem as it is for the 14 year old boy he forced himself on. If anything good can be gleaned, it’s that this shit won’t be tolerated anymore. I will never willfully watch anything with him again. Not all celebrities are rapists and pedophiles right? Oh yeah, and fuck Kevin Spacey, he gives real actors a bad name. He needs to be put in gen pop somehwere so he can get a personal tour of what is done to child rapers in prison. It is possible to make it in Hollywood and not be a sexual criminal, right?” 🙂
