From the mind of critic: “If we can’t be clear headed when we’re angry, can we be angry when we’re clear headed? Can we have angry thoughts, but think about them in a clear way so they don’t manifest into violent and insidious actions? Is the conversion of this anger into action, the key motivation in our forward moving journey? Critical thought is the secret to progress made, lessons learned and growth experienced. The earlier we learn this the better off we’ll be, because although we’ll still have lessons to learn, we won’t have nearly as many. Once we realize that being clear headed or “critically thinking” allows us to think about why we’re angry, instead of not thinking at all, we’ll see how to work through problems, instead of only seeing the problems themselves. Being angry makes us a rebel without a cause, being angrily clear headed makes us a rebel with a cause. Learning why we’re angry, is the first step in overcoming. Converting anger into action only works, if we slow down and clearly think. If anger begets anger and violence begets violence, critical thought begets peaceful evolution.” 🙂

From the mind of critic: “If insanity is defined as doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results, is determination defined the same? Does determination mean overcoming odds previously thought impossible, by trying and trying and never giving up? Does being insane mean doing somehting over and over without thinking of process or results, working off pure in the moment animal instincts? Is the only difference between insanity and determination critical thought, or some other subjective adjective? None of us are perfect, none of of us make infallible and omnipotent decisions, no matter how much we espouse the concept. We can be insane at times and we can be determined at times, we can even be insanely determined. Once we realize we’ll never be permanent residents of either side, but we can lean one way more than the other, we’ll see the more we critically think of results, strategy, tactics, optics, passion and self-esteem, the less insane we’ll be, and the more determined we’ll become. Insanity and determination might have the same definition, but they differ from person to person. We’re determined to succeed, when we critically think of how to get there. Insanity and determination depend on perception. Passion can make us insane, if focus eludes us.” 🙂

From the mind of critic: “If we set our goals higher than we believe acheiveable, is it motivation to try harder? Do we further all decisions if they help us acheive our goals, while negating all which don’t? Do we surprise ourselves with our focus, honing in on only what’s important? Do long shot goals set us up for dissappointment, by making us believe something which doesn’t contain one iota of evidence? Are we let down when our preconcieved notions are proven true, or do we tell ourselves “I told you so?” Do we wish we wouldn’t have set goals in the first place, because the intense heartache we currently feel would be non existent? If the world and life itself are basically chaos, there is no definitive way to tell the future. This doesn’t stop us from wanting to acheive, if anything it makes us more determined to move forward, even if our path is unknown. This unknown is scary because there is no guarantee of success, but there are no guarantees of failure either. Even if we fail, which evidence pointed that direction when we started, we will forever have regrets if we don’t try. It’s hard to admit this amidst failure, no regrets is an extremely non-sufficient replacement for the heartache we feel. Once we realize effort doesn’t guarantee success or even happiness, but does increase our chances, we’ll see success only finds us when we let go of outcomes and failures. Failure becomes satisfying, if we stop trying. Expecting the worst doesn’t prevent heartache, it invites it. The unknown is scary, but not as scary as asking what if. The only curefor heartache, is time.” 🙂

From the mind of critic: “If we don’t let things get us down, are we in control of our emotions, or blinded to them? Are we like a swingset, where we control how high or low we get? Are we a seesaw, where we control our height half the time, while somebody else controls the other half? Are we a merry go round, where we have no control at all and are just along for the ride? What we view as a filter of our emotions so we can mostly keep them under control, others can view as us blinding ourselves to what’s in front of us. If we’re all unique and living unique experiences, our reactions would be different by definition. Thats not to say one man’s emtional genius is another’s sociopath, but then again one man’s terrorist is another’s freedom fighter so who knows. Once we realize controlling our emotions doesn’t mean shutting them off, we’ll see the less we depend on others for emotional updates, and the more we honestly look inside our own soul for answers, the more stable we’ll be. Nothing can drag us down, except ourselves. Filtering our emotions is like filtering a pool, we wouldn’t want to wade through crap in either one. Life might be a merry go round, but we control the speed of joy we recieve. If we know others are blinding themselves to reality, do we know if we are blinding ourselves?” 🙂

From the mind of critic: “If recharging our soul gives us the motivation to move forward, why don’t we do it more often? Are we scared of taking care of ourselves, because we think it’ll block opportunities? Are we more likely to tear ourselves down because it feels normal, as opposed to building ourselves up which feels abnormal? Do we have the capacity to suprise ourselves by not only learning lessons, but having them weave into our daily routine without even realizing? We all have low points, times when things are dark and seem hopeless. We can never delete these, but we can make them shorter by knowing when they’re about to arrive. The key to utilizing this prevention tactic, is remembering our soul is always rechargable, now matter dead and dormant it seems. Once we realize our personal and unique way of recharging changes with life experience, we’ll see taking care of ourselves isn’t a one and done thing, but a full time, never ending job. Filling our soul, makes life worth living. Low points may happen, but our reactions determine length and severity. Hanging out with old friends is good for our soul, we should do it more often. We fill our soul to move forward, which makes forward movement our key to sustainable refills.” 🙂

From the mind of critic: “If we leave our lights on our battery will die, but what if we didn’t leave our lights on? What if our lights were off, and no charge was being pulled from the battery or any other electronic, can our battery still die? Was the unforseen circumstance that caused out battery to die really unforseen, or just unforseen by us? Is consciousness of little problems before they become bigger problems a guranteed prevention tactic, or do things just happen regardless of hyper awareness? Car problems suck, we all know it, and we’ve all been there. When they do happen, we start questioning what caused it, and if we should have seen it coming. Sometimes in life our batteries die, whether it be our car, our mind or our body. We must remember, they can always be charged, we just need the right cables. These cables can be bought, learned or experienced, but for them to work whatever our procurment method, we have to first admit that our battery is dead, and that we need a recharge. Once we admit the problem, all we have to do is aloowourselves time to recharge, by bringing ourselves joy, and breathing in beauty. If we don’t know how, or have forgotten, we have pegged the exact reason why our battery died in the first place. Our soul or “life” battery can always be recharged, it’s called consciously inhaling beauty. Car batteries die if lights are left on, humans are the opposite. Expecting the unexpected, means preparing for when life throws you a curveball. Life can always be better, but damn can it always be worse.” 🙂

From the mind of critic: “If a store is always open, does it get just as many good customers as bad? Does the general attitude of the customers depend on the general attitude of the store, or does it depend on seen or unseen environmental or societal circumstances? Does a store have to always stay open, just for a chance at good customers? Could the store utilize a closed and open balance to draw in good customers? When a store evolves to a point where it’s open all the time, does it have access to all good customers in existence as well as bad, specifically because it’s always open? Being open is the first step in acheiving our dreams, because we’re allowing the oportunities to do so into our routine. This first step is vital, no other steps can be climbed with out climbing the first. However, this act of being open allows negativity to flow in as well, because we’re no longer closed for business. Which brings us to step 2, constructing a filter so we keep the good, leave the bad, and progress forward because we’re leaning the lessons we need to learn. Some of us stumble on this second step, because we forget to erect a filter until it’s to late, which causes the cascading negativity to overpower whatever goodness we contained. We find success by being open, not being a doormat. Pool filters clean out negative particles, so do life filters. Being permanently closed, blocks all goodness from penetrating. No matter how much liars wrap themselves in the truth, communities eventually discover reality. One witness amongst a crowd does not usher truth, when the crowd takes the witnesses word for it.” 🙂

From the mind of critic: “Does smoke always lead to fire, or just more smoke? Does smoke get mistaken for steam, which lets off pressure so a fire doesn’t break out? Does lingering fog get mistaken for smoke, causing it to be ingored because it’s so ingrained and all encompassing? Can a fire burn without smoke, disguising its very existence? Do fires appear without smoke not because smoke isn’t produced, but because the smoke is is carried which ever way the wind blows? We used to say nothing in life is guaranteed except death and taxes. Which many current exceptions exist for the later, and many exceptions are currently being concocted for the former. Clues don’t always lead where we want or expect, and can lie, distract and mischaracterize what we believe the end result should be. Once we realize that clues, hints, signs and sages can steer us away from truth or toward it, we’ll see that if we ignore, we won’t be able to decipher what’s in front of us, and will fall victim to kinds words with a silver tongue. Smoke doesn’t always lead to fire, sometimes it leads to embers. Ignoring smoke doesn’t make fire go away, but makes it burn stronger. Clues aren’t always authentic, but if ignored, we’ll never know the difference. Fire produces smoke, but our soul produces fire.”

From the mind of critic: “Is the follow through as important to a pitcher, as the pitch itself? Does a ptich even happen without a follow through? Does it matter if it’s a fastball down the middle, some chin music high and tight, or a nasty curveball sinker that changes course at the last possible second? If a pitcher throws a pitch the catcher didn’t give a sign for, is it still follow through? Does follow through mean the act of pitching itself, or the arm toss and leg kick after the ball is released? Getiing caught up will get us just that, caught up. Acting instead of defining and redefining the needed action is how dreams manifest, and how positive change becomes reality. Once we realize following through doesn’t mean our journey has ended because we’ve walked the walk, but has opened up other doors that would have been unavailable otherwise, we’ll see following through as not intimidating but authentic, which knocks down any roadblocks we can erect. Action is followthrough that gives meaning to our words. We can pitch, or be a statue on the mound, either way we’ve followed through. Walking the walk, means getting out there and putting one foot in front of the other. Our dreams and goals become possible, when we allow ourselves to follow through. Impossibilities become probabilities, when we prove actions are louder than words.” 🙂

From the mind of critic: “There are 2 paths we can go on, but in the long run, is there still time to change the road we’re on? Do we have the capacity to change course, when our current trajectory has been chiseled in for decades? Will we forgo the scarier but more fulfilling path, in place of a more comfortable but detrimental one? Are we so scared of change, that we’ve witnessed the darkness getting darker, but we go along because it’s the enemy we know? Are we scared of change and even though we know it’ll flip everything around, we adapt because we know change can be beneficial in the long run if we’re unafraid? Fear can stop us in our tracks, halting all forward progress. The idea we can’t change course midstream, is an assumption on fear of differences, and of required effort we may or may not be willing to exude. We get over this by remembering we deserve the best. It may take monumental effort, and may dispell all our misconceptions, but we can make change work for us by utilizing passion, through humanistic real world appilcations, not pie in the sky thinking. There are infinite paths to travel, and we can travel any at anytime. Our course might be chiseled, but we hold the hammer. Comfort is only detrimental, if it isn’t fulfilling. Change is scary, but so is having regrets.” 🙂
