from the mind of critic: 12/14/19

From the mind of critic: “If the night time is the right time, then is day time the wrong time? Do daytime hours scream decibel piercing requests, to the point we don’t have time to fit self reflection into our productive time, or do we elbow in little moments whenever possible, to show our weary mind the beautiful humanity our soul has yearned for, since we awoke to the possibility there might be something better out there? Finding, locating, devising, decoding and translating moments which flash by on their own timeline, can be hard to let go of when we want them to last the length of our species existence, but which float away like rose petals in a summer breeze. The great thing is however, while these moments can be held forever, they can also provide clues to not only bettering ourselves and building each other up, but busting through walls of fear, which have prevented good moments from entering. Letting go of what doesn’t serve us is how we allow beauty to enter, and heal the pain we hold, because we believe it’s the only that’s real, when it’s really a disguise to mask the earth’s power; which allows human suffering not out of vengeance or spite, but lessons that once learned, allows sight of and experience with, deep rooted joy. Which lasts as long as we’re worthy. And we are worthy, right?
