from the mind of critic-8/18/17

From the mind of critic: If we came with directions when we got delivered into the world, would they be easy to follow steps? Would the booklet include a long list of things we should do and should know, with the first ten being the most important like the Bill of Rights? Are the rules simply in arbitrary order, and like life, we’ll take what works for us, and leave what doesn’t? Babies don’t come out of the womb with toe tag instructions, anymore than adults burst into adulthood with a guaranteed plan to move forward. Life can be hard work, especially when deciphering how to make out hopes and dreams reality. Life can also be much more fulfilling when we’ve figured out how to get past obstacles ourselves, as opposed to a unisex, androginous, generic, robotic and systematic one size fits all plan for being a joyful and saitisfied person. It all boils down to if we’re looking for the easy way out, for somebody to do all the thinking and strategic planning for us, so all the adversity, hardship and character building trials and tribulations will be dealt with by somebody else. If we’re not looking for the easy way out, and know how important to our soul’s development going through the tough times are, we will listen to and heed advice, but will blaze our own trail. If all else fails, read the directions works if we’re putting together a table, but not for putting together a joyful, peaceful and fulfilling life. That we have to figure out for ourselves.” 🙂
