From the mind of critic: “When we see nothing but darkness, do we expect light around every corner? When we see nothing but light, do we expect darkness around every corner? Do we always expect the worse, so we don’t get let down? Do we always expect things to turn out, so we don’t have to put any work in? Are we afraid to put ourselves out there, whether it’s negatively or positively? Taking the first step in our journey is difficult, but it’s the most important step. Once we put that first foot forward, We’ll see everything open up. We’ll see a lot of light, dark and everything in between. As our experience is added to, or perceptions adjust. We might have several bad experiences, making us think nothing good will happen. We might have several good experiences, making us think nothing bad will happen. We must remember this whole process started with us expecting the unexpected, but also got roadblocked because we expected the unexpected. We can’t get so set in our ways, that we think nothing will change. Light and dark are a balance, not constants. Balance is all about accepting change, and constants are all about accepting stagnation. Do we want balance to help us reach the light, or stagnation to help us reach the dark? When we feel gratitude for what is, the answer appears.” 🙂
