From the mind of critic: “If this country is built on united we stand and divided we fall, are we so concerned with being the person that does the uniting, that we’re willing to divide until everyone comes around to our side? Is our self esteem so low that we’re willing to destroy the world, just so we can rebuild it in our image? Have we never authentically stood up before, and are simply unfamiliar with the procedure? Believing in America isn’t a bad thing, believing our version is better than somebody else’s, is where we run into trouble. Once we realize that uniting with others doesn’t steal our beliefs away, but adds to them, we’ll see that whether we believe we have to divide before uniting, destroy before creating or war for peace, saying one thing and doing another, is one of the biggest impediments to our collective forward progress. We can stand together and unite, or we can fall together and divide, those are our only 2 options” 🙂
