The Mind Of Critic-9/16/16

From the mind of critic: “If we expect technology to fix all of our environmental problems, are we choosing to keep polluting, and doing what led to the problems? If we expect technology to fix all of our health issues, are we choosing to eat all the junk food, and living the unhealthy lifestyle that led to the problems? If we expect technology to do eveyrthing for us, Are we trying to be as lazy as possible? In the last 50 years there have been many technological advances. They have extended our life span, and made our day to day life easier by freeing up our time for more fulfilling ventures. Where we go wrong is when we think we don’t have to advance our thinking, our self, our society and our world along with the technology that outpaces itself every 2 years. Not that ever increasingly advanced technology isn’t wanted, because it is. But if we ate better foods, didn’t spill deadly toxins into the soil or release them into the air, and didn’t tear each other down but instead built eachother up, we wouldn’t be in such urgent need of this technology. As technology grows, our consiousness must grow along with it. or we will be left holding the proverbial bag when technology implodes, and we have to recontruct our humanity. We must choose to make a better future now, not rely on technology to do it sometime down the road” 🙂
