From the mind of critic: “If we desire material superiority, do we ignore humanity? If we see certain things as more important than relationships, do we negate the wonderfully scary, but beautiful journey we’re on, in place of a fictional endpoint, that blue prints to the letter, what we should be, think and feel? Do we believe being inundated with inanimate objects, and having wealth and power that allows control over whatever comes to mind, will leave us happy, by eliminating desire? Aiming our passion at acquiring stuff, will always leave us wanting more. It doesn’t eliminate desire, it increases anxiety, that unless we acquire more and more, we feel empty. This emptiness leads to jealousy, which leads to hatred, which leads to violence against those seen as less than, specifically because we feel less than. This concept of projection feeds into the narrative, that the instigator of all our problems, is the “other”. Politicians are very fond of projection, not only to take the spotlight off their own lack of humanity, but to further their task of gaining control. We don’t gain these traits from office holders, as an original idea we never thought of, they gain it from us. We’ve been tearing each other down for generations, specifically because we’ve convinced ourselves we’re blameless, even though deep down we know we’re not. The sooner we take responsibility for our own actions, the sooner we’ll stop electing those who don’t. Desire itself isn’t bad, unless we fail to analyze why.”
