from the mind of critic-6/13/17

From the mind of critic: “If authority figures have droned into our brains, that “we should do as they say not as they do”, is it any wonder we don’t trust authority? If we’re told lies so flagrantly often, do we internalize the notion of “it is what it is”? Do we rely on emotions, when facts cease to exist? Or do we still believe in facts, even if proof of their non-existence is manufactured by those who profit off of our gullibilty? Humans will always try to take advantage of others, but will also love each other if given the opportunity. Sometimes we block these chances, sometimes authority blocks them. Once we realize that taking everything with a grain of salt doesn’t mean everything is a lie, we’ll see that just because there are fields of haystacks, doesn’t mean needles don’t exist. Trust of authority must be earned, but if it has been earned, we must give it the benefit of the doubt” 🙂
