From The Mind Of Critic-9/22/16

From the mind of critic: “When did union becaome a bad word in this country, was it the same time that liberal became a bad word? Was it because we got so hung up on the little things, that we forgot about the bigger picture? Or because we were so focused on the bigger picture and what was coming down the road, that we forgot it’s the little things that make life worth living, and that it’s those little things that make the bigger picture what it is, and what it appears to be? We enjoy the fruits of ours and others labor, good and bad. This point in our history didn’t fall out of the sky, it has been building up for a very long time. Maybe all those things that used to make union and liberal a good word, have been chipped away at for years, and turned them bad. Maybe people realize that they can’t make the radical and drastic change they want all at once, so they put in all the hard work, and do all the menial tasks that are so mundane, that their opponent doesn’t see their entire world changing around them. Without unions and liberals we wouldn’t have half the things we do, just like without language we wouldn’t be able to state what we really feel. Without choice, we would be completely helpless. And isn’t choice what we’re giving up when we enjoy something that we know has bettered out lives, yet we still portray as evil and destructive at the same time?” 🙂
