From the mind of critic: “If we had to fight, claw and climb just to be at the point we’re at now, which feels like a huge accomplishment, does the realization cause life to throw us more tests, because we’re admitting to being happy where we’re at? Is life a cruel jokester, or are we joking ourselves when we think we have it all figured out? Does this discourage us from continuing to fight, because giving in is so much easier, or does it motivate us to keep working while we can, because we know respecting our body, means respecting our mind, which keeps our process flowing and our work much more productive? Being okay with our limitations, takes adjustment time to put it mildly. We have hopes and dreams which must be tempered with what’s possible, and what’s probable. Does this suck, of course it does, but it doesn’t mean we give up; quite the contrary. We allow ourselves to do what we can, by working toward our dreams when we can. When we can’t, and this is the key, whether it’s physical or emotional pain, from an inside or outside source, we must do what we can to care for ourselves. Being kind to ourselves when we want to do anything but, lifts our spirit, specifically because we took the time when we really needed to. Can we be kind to ourselves, only if we truly want to achieve our goals and dreams, and not endlessly talk about them. Kindness, is really all it takes.”
