From the mind of critic: “Do plans matter, if they can be broken at the last second? Do rules matter, if the powerful can break them at any time? If our best isn’t good enough, how do we accomplish what we’ve always dreamed? If change is inevitable, is also stagnation because it inherently changes an always changing landscape, by keeping things the same? All of us have been told at some point to expect the unexpected, that because of the inherently chaotic nature of society and the world, anything can happen at any given moment. Making plans, following rules and normal expectations are meant to help us correlate the randomness in a way our brains can understand. We must remember that just because things change, doesn’t mean we shouldn’t strive toward our hopes and dreams, we should, we just need to be ready to adapt if we truly want what our soul sings about. Trying to make sense of the chaos isn’t a fool’s errand, it’s a human burden. Rules may or may not be followed, but if we don’t acknowledge them, we won’t know which are just and unjust. Our best is always good enough, our targets just may change form along the way. The unexpected becomes expected, when we realize we don’t know where our journey might lead, but move in the right direction when our soul lights the way.”
