from the mind of critic-2/12/19

From the mind of critic:      “Do we meet the new boss who is the same as the old boss, specifically because we took the easy way out? Did we refuse to do the hard work required to upset, rebuild and reorganize the system, which keeps creating old bosses? Have we so ingrained “it is what it is”, that we just accept things are shitty, are never going to better and may get worse? Do we resign ourselves to complaining about or arguing issues to people whom know even less than us, because it makes us feel smart and like we’re doing something, when it actually makes stuff worse, because of a false sense of progress? Apathy and complacency are big reasons many of us feel helpless to make major change, because we feel it wouldn’t do any good. Have we actually tried, have we gotten off our ass, thrown off the warm cocoon of our detrimental routine, and stood up for what we profess to support? Have we gone out and changed the world, through unity, humanity, and accountability, not only proving to everyone that one person can change the world, but also proving it to ourselves? Lots of introspection needs to happen, before we feel confident enough to move forward. It’ll be hard work, I’m not going to lie, but the rewards aren’t beyond our wildest dreams, they are our dreams. All those generational issues we never seem to be able to fix, will start being alleviated because not only do we see others in ourselves because they are us, but because we did the harder half of something, that’s easier said than done. We will elect politicians who represent us, when we start accurately representing ourselves. New bosses stop being old bosses, when we start taking responsibility. If “it is what it is “was actually like it is, things would never change. Letting others think for us is who we got into this mess, thinking for ourselves is how we get out.” ?
