From the mind of critic: “When the deck seems stacked against us, is the house cheating, or is our mind playing tricks? Do we believe all sides are cheating, so the only way to win is by cheating better and more forcefully? Do we believe the only way to break a cycle of dishonesty, is by injecting as much honesty as possibly? Do we hold back our best cards, for fear they won’t be good enough? Life throws us curveballs, when it rains it pours, darkness is contagious, however we describe life testing our character, it’s a major part of our journey. Not that we expect everything to be sunshine and rainbows, but we’re constantly reminded of how bad things can appear. That’s the rub, this feeling only describes what appears, and doesn’t accurately portray what’s actually there. We’ve all heard life is what we make it, we all perceive things differently and we create our own reality. They’re All clichés, but that’s because they’re actually true. We can’t always change our situation, but we must remember we can change our reactions, which changes our perceptions, then inherently our situation. When the deck seems stacked against us, do we remember things aren’t always what they seem? Cheating is only an option, if we’ve forgotten how to win. Truth wins the day, when it fuels our soul. Obstacles will only stop us, if we believe they will.”
