from the mind of critic-7/5/18

From the mind of critic: “If we’re passionately moving toward our dreams and aspirations, are our corresponding actions based on those dreams and aspirations, or fact based evidence? If we base our routine on what builds us up or tears us down, do we act from imagination, or what is? Do we build up in our mind the life we want, organizing every detail so there aren’t surprises or unturned stones? There is only so much we can prepare for, only so much outlining, research and blueprinting we can do, before the rubber must hit the road. Finding our passion is one thing, working our passion is another, while making a living at our passion is quite another. Just because we imagined how our life should be, doesn’t mean it’ll work out, or in the form we expect. We must be willing to balance what we want to do with what we need to do, but if we want success in life, love or career, we must be willing to put in the work, while practicing self kindness so we’re motivated to keep going if we stumble, or aren’t accomplishing fast enough. Great things happen to those who wait, only when waiting involves action. Being open to opportunities as they come along, is the physical act of expecting the unexpected. Putting in work doesn’t guarantee success, but inaction does guarantee failure. To believe in our dreams, means believing in ourselves.” 🙂
